  • Latest Appearance
Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!! (2012)

Shiny Stars are Power-Ups that are found in Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams and Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion. They have the same functions as normal Stars that appear in other Mario games, as they also make the user invincible, but with a field of light surrounding the user. Luigi can defeat a ghost by simply running near them, due to the fact ghosts are vulnerable to light. Shiny Stars also make Luigi run faster. If Luigi keeps running without stopping, he will be able to run faster, and if he jumps, he will jump further. Shiny Stars can also be found by collecting a ? Coin, but they are rarely found that way.

Shiny Stars return in Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!!, with the same function. Notably, Shiny Stars are slightly more common in this game.

Shiny Stars will reappear in Luigi's Mansion 7, and it will have the same function as before. They are now referred to as just Stars or Super Stars.

TriviaEdit

  • It should be noted that Fantendo has never found the perfect artwork for a Shiny Star, which explains why it uses a Starman's artwork. It's model during gameplay, however, is that of a Starman, but with a field of light surrounding it so that people can easily distinguish it between a Starman.
