Fire Luigi (or Fire Mario) is the form that occurs when Luigi eats a Fire Flower. In the main series, its first appearance was in Super Mario Bros.. In the Luigi's Mansion series, the form makes its debut in Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams and later appears in Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion. Unlike in the other games, this form is time-limited as opposed to being lost by taking damage, meaning that Luigi will still keep in the form in his possessions if he takes damage, much like in Super Mario Galaxy.
Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted DreamsEdit
In the Luigi's Mansion series, Fire Luigi makes its first appearance in Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams. As said from above, this form lasts for a limited time, so Luigi will not convert back to regular Luigi by taking damage. Also, to shoot fireballs, the player must press the 2 button on the Wii Remote. Additionally, the fireballs cannot be used underwater.
Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the MansionEdit
Fire Luigi (as well as Fire Mario) reappears in Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion, with the same abilities. Fire Luigi plays a more important role in the minigame known as Crate Incineration, which is found in the mission, "Burning the Crates" of the Upside Up Mansion and "Incinerate the Crate Dizziness" of the Dizziness Upside Mansion. In this minigame, Luigi must burn all the crates within the time limit given so that he can receive a Power Star.
