Description
  • First Appearance
Luigi's Mansion 4: Haunted Dreams (2009)
  • Latest Appearance
Luigi's Mansion 7 (2014)

The Fire Flower is a Power-Up that has appeared in many games so far in the main series. When it has been obtained, the user will be able to shoot fireballs from their hands. This can help defeat many enemies as well as help do jobs that require fire. In the Luigi's Mansion series, this Power-Up is found in certain locations as well as through the activation of a ? Coin. Also, the Fire Flower only lasts for a limited amount of time (much like in Super Mario Galaxy) and when Luigi takes damage, the Fire Flower will not wear off. The subzero version of the Fire Flower is the Ice Flower.

Appearances[]

Super Mario Bros[]

The Fire Flower first appears in Super Mario Bros. . Once Luigi obtains a Fire Flower, he will be able to shoot fireballs which can defeat enemies and light up torches.Like in other games where the power-up lasts permanently until the user takes damage, the Fire Flower in this game lasts for a unlimited amount of time, unlike in Super Mario Galaxy. This basically means that Luigi will still keep the Fire Flower if he takes damage. The way the player can shoot fireballs is by shaking the Wii Remote. The Fire Flower's appearance is the same as its appearance from New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Galaxy, while its in-game model is the same compared to Super Mario Galaxy.

Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion[]

Fire Flowers reappear in Luigi's Mansion 5: Curse of the Mansion. Basically, nothing has changed about it whatsoever, meaning it has the same function like it did in Haunted Dreams. There is also a mini-game called Crate Incineration, whereas Luigi has to use a Fire Flower to destroy all the crates that appear within the time limit. Crate Incineration only appears in two missions in the game, "Burning the Crates" of the Upside Up Mansion and "Incinerate the Crate Dizziness" of the Dizziness Upside Mansion. If Luigi manages to break all the crates within the time limit given, he will receive a Power Star.

Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!![]

Fire Flowers reappear in Luigi's Mansion 6: U Are Doomed!! in three mansions; the Snow Slide Mansion, the Burning Buoy Mansion, and the Frostburn Mansion.

Luigi's Mansion 7[]

Fire Flowers were confirmed to reappear in Luigi's Mansion 7, along with Ice Flowers and two new kinds of power-ups called Electric Flowers and Gold Flowers. The Fire Flower will have the same function as it did in the 2D Mario games, which means that, unlike in Haunted Dreams, Curse of the Mansion, and U Are Doomed!!, the Fire Flower is able to last until Luigi grabs another power-up or if he takes damage.
